The Lartigue Monorail Restoration Committee was established in 1998. Phase I of the Project, including the provision of 550 metres of track complete with turntables and switches, a replica locomotive and two carriages, is now in operation. The project, to date, has cost about € 1. 3 million and has attracted worldwide interest. The train is run by volunteers and is open daily, during the summer months, between 2 p. m. and 5 p. m. |
